Rodney McKee Lexington resident, 54
LEXINGTON — Rodney Lee McKee, 54, of Lexington died Friday, Feb. 8,
2002, at his home near Lexington.
Service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Reynolds-Love Chapel in
Lexington with the Rev. John Shields officiating. Burial with military honors will be at Greenwood Cemetery in Lexington.
There will be no visitation. The casket will be closed.
Memorials are suggested to the Lexington Fire Department.
He was born April 19, 1947, in Lexington to LeRoy and Goldie
(Brandenburg) McKee. He graduated from Lexington High School in 1965. He served in the U.S. Air Force in Vietnam and Thailand. He returned to Lexington where he farmed.
He enjoyed putting up hay, farming, NASCAR and watching movies.
Survivors include his brothers, Delos of Elm Creek and Jerry and
Kevin, both of Lexington.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.
Willard Brandenberg
Funeral services for Willard L. Brandenberg, 78, of Lexington will be at
2 p.m. Saturday, June 16, 2001, at the Reynolds-Love Chapel in Lexington, with Rev. Bracken Sheldon officiating.
Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery near Lexington.
Visitation will be Friday, June 15, 2001, from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. at the
Reynolds-Love Chapel in Lexington.
He was born Nov. 22, 1922, at Lexington where he attended and
graduated from Lexington High School with the class of 1943.
He married Jean Root May 20, 1951, at the United Methodist Church in
Lexington.
He spent his working years with his hands, building homes with Martin
Hibberd and later working at Howell Lumber and with Neil Kugler.
Willard was a member of the United Methodist Church. He enjoyed
fishing, gardening and building things.
He is survived by two sons, Brad Brandenberg of Lexington and Dr.
Greg (Cara) Brandenberg of Columbia, Mo.; one brother, Ken Brandenberg of Lexington; five sisters, Lydia McKee of Lakewood, Calif., Gladys Phillips of Glendale, Ariz., Leota Schledewitz of Kearney, Leona
Frey of Red Cloud and Eunice Gerken of Lexington; three grandchildren, Kyla, Trev and Jace Brandenberg of Columbia, Mo.; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Jean, in 1998, two
sisters Goldie McKee and Lucille Gerken, and one infant brother, Clarence.
Memorials are suggested to the Plum Creek Care Center or the
Lexington Volunteer Fire Department.
Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington is in charge of arrangements.
